Genius Metal, CA, USA is a materials research company founded in February 2002 by Dr. Scott Liu, a materials scientist with over 20 years of experience in hard metals and high temperature materials.  Since then 30 families of materials and 170 grades of hard metals have been invented for a wide range of tooling and high temperature applications.  Three patents have been filed and the first was issued on June 28, 2005 entitled "Compositions and Fabrication Methods for Hardmetals" (US 6, 911, 063)

The company is dedicated to innovating the ultimate hardmetals to meet the toughest materials application demands and bringing the tool industry the most competitive tool technology.  Our patented materials can be developed into a broad range of cutting, forming, mining and construction tools, thermal spray coatings, and wear parts to offer customers the most cost-effective tools to achieve prosperous goals.
